Camera
Two models to choose from. Standard version of Gel.SURE has a 20 megapixel coloured digital camera with a super-fast autofocus lens mounted inside the enclosure. The second model has a 6.3 megapixel camera with Sony STARVIS™ sensor coupled to a fixed focus sharp lens. Both models can be controlled from a PC or a touchscreen. Live view images and capture times of less than a few seconds provides efficient imaging. Gel image acquisition and control software has a control panel which allows user to adjust camera settings like exposure time settings, save location etc. Histogram display on the screen shows image saturation.
 
Darkroom Cabinet
The epoxy coated, chemical & corrosion resistant light-tight cabinet has camera built in, a UV safety switch and a roll-out transilluminator. The safety switch switches off UV lights as soon as the door is opened.
 
Transillumination
Standard UV transilluminator is of fixed type built into the cabinet. Filter size of transilluminator is 15x15cm. Colorimetric samples up to 20x20cm can be captured. UV light wavelength is 302-312nm. White and blue light transillumination can be provided optionally. Transilluminator is connected to a safety switch which shuts off the UV when the door is opened.
 
Epillumination
Epi-white light illumination through dual LED tubes from above is standard. Ultraviolet epi-illumination in a variety of wavelengths can also be provided. For specific stains, epi-light in blue, green or red LEDs can be provided.
